Slider
Description
Select a value between a minimum and a maximum by dragging a thumb over the bounds of a track. The slider's track is divided into two parts split by the thumb.

If this component supports focus, this optional skin will be
displayed above the component when showFocus() is
called. The focus indicator skin is not always displayed when the
component has focus. Typically, if the component receives focus from
a touch, the focus indicator is not displayed.
The touchable of this skin will always be set to
false so that it does not "steal" touches from the
component or its sub-components. This skin will not affect the
dimensions of the component or its hit area. It is simply a visual
indicator of focus.

The slider has two tracks, stretching to fill each side of the slider with the thumb in the middle. The tracks will be resized as the thumb moves. This layout mode is designed for sliders where the two sides of the track may be colored differently to show the value "filling up" as the slider is dragged.
Since the width and height of the tracks will change, consider
sing a special display object such as a Scale9Image,
Scale3Image or a TiledImage that is
designed to be resized dynamically.

Call this function to tell the UI control that a redraw is pending. The redraw will happen immediately before Starling renders the UI control to the screen. The validation system exists to ensure that multiple properties can be set together without redrawing multiple times in between each property change.
If you cannot wait until later for the validation to happen, you
can call validate() to redraw immediately. As an example,
you might want to validate immediately if you need to access the
correct width or height values of the UI
control, since these values are calculated during validation.
